What is happening at the Paseo Club during the Back to School Season?

The long days of summer are coming to an end. The return to school and busier schedules can feel disappointing. But the Paseo Club has plenty to offer to help you stay upbeat and engaged in the community. 

The Back to School Season has new classes, social events, fundraisers, and family gatherings. Before the school year gets too crazy, take time to plan some important activities for you and your family. 

The Paseo Club has served the Santa Clarita community for over twenty years. The eight-acre club features fitness, Pilates, tennis, pickleball, and swimming facilities. The cafe, child care center, and spa amenities make everyone’s stay not just good but great!

In this article, we will share what is happening at the Paseo Club for the Back to School Season. This season is from August 9 through the end of September. 

Events at the Paseo Club during the Back to School Season

This is a fun, social class to attend with your friends, spouses, and partners. The class begins with an all-level Pilates reformer class, followed by two glasses of wine or one cocktail and appetizers. This event is $40, and it starts at 6 pm. Reserve your place in Pinot and Pilates.    

August 10: Paseo Club Open House - FREE!

The Paseo Club is excited to announce the upcoming Open House on Saturday, August 10th, from 9 am to 2 pm. Members will continue to enjoy the club as usual. We are also opening our doors to non-members to experience everything the Paseo Club has to offer!

The Paseo Club offers incredible small group training programs tailored to people who want personalized attention from certified fitness coaches. Each class builds on the one prior, so you are sure to get more fit. Prioritize your health and attend small group training! 

Drop-in classes are $15-25, depending on the package purchase. Some small group programs are six-week series. The price for the series is listed with the class description.

August 12: Greatest Results - Back to School, Back to You Transformation Challenge
This class is a comprehensive health and fitness program that will help you stay accountable every step of the way. It features several steps of support.

  • Personal Training
  • Cardio and weight training
  • Personalized coaching to meet your individual needs
  • Before and after measurements and performance testing
  • HIIT Classes with adaptive exercises for injuries and ailments
  • Three complimentary Pilates reformer or small group training sessions
  • Supermarket field trip, recipes, meal planning, nutrition education with food journal accountability

This six-week program meets Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 am. At the end of the challenge, there is a celebration and prizes. Sign up for the Greatest Results.

August 12: Blood Flow Restriction Training
The benefits of Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT) are almost limitless.

This session combines two classes into one — Tribe Extreme HIIT and Tribe Core Strength. 

Tribe Extreme HIIT is a strength and endurance HIIT conditioning program. It will increase your strength and endurance, burn fat and calories, and produce functional, full-body results.

Tribe Core Strength is designed to bring tone, strength, stability, and power to your core, including your pelvis, hips, back, and abdomen. It incorporates flexibility and stability training to achieve structural longevity and powerful, pain-free movement.

This six-week program meets Mondays from 6 - 7 pm. The cost is $100 for one day per week for the series. Register here. 

August 12: Tribe Functionally Fit
Paseo Tribe Functionally Fit is a perfect choice for tennis and pickleball players. Sessions are low-impact, using functional exercises designed to keep you fit for life. Certified instructors will ensure you maintain the correct intensity during workouts to decrease body fat, increase energy levels, achieve cardiovascular fitness, and functional fitness.

This six-week program meets on Mondays at 8 am and costs $100 for the series. Reserve your spot in class. 

August 12: Pilates Tighten and Tone Body Makeover - NEW!
The Pilates Tighten and Tone Body Makeover program is a combination of low-intensity strength training classes and Pilates reformer classes. Instructors Taylor and Alex have experience with autoimmune issues and find this style of training to be very beneficial.

  • Receive daily nutrition emails from Precision Nutrition
  • Exercise with strength training and reformer Pilates classes
  • Go on a field trip to the grocery store field trip with a nutrition coach

This six-week program meets four days per week, although you do not have to attend all the sessions. Pilates Reformer with Alex meets Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 am. Tighten and Tone with Taylor meets Mondays and Thursdays at 9 am.

August 13: Tribe Extreme HIIT
Tribe Extreme HIIT is a strength and endurance HIIT conditioning program designed for any individual, regardless of fitness level or experience. Tribe Extreme HIIT will increase your strength and endurance, burn fat and calories, and produce functional, full-body fitness results. These sessions meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 am. August 13: Boxing Basics 
Burn mega calories in this high-intensity interval cardio workout. 

Learn punching techniques using heavy bags, boxing gloves, and focus mitts. Reduce stress, boost your confidence, improve your physique, increase your energy, and improve your posture.

Please bring your own wraps and boxing gloves. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 9:30 am. Sign up today!

Join Coach Jodi for Treadmill Training, a 45-minute run workout program on a treadmill. This class is designed to use the treadmill's speed and incline to push a client to run faster and harder for short bursts. Interval training boosts metabolism, increases strength, and improves speed.

Running on a treadmill helps you to avoid limiting factors, such as weather and terrain issues and it can be easier on your joints. 

Every runner works at their own pace, improving overall pace, speed, and endurance. Come to class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 am and Wednesdays at 7 pm. Register for treadmill training.

August 14:  Tribe Core Strength
Paseo Tribe Core Strength is a training program designed to bring toning, strength, stability, and power to your core, including your pelvis, hips, back, and abdomen. This class leaves you with a slim waistline and firm, strong abs. Tribe Core Strength incorporates flexibility and stability training to help you achieve structural longevity and powerful, pain-free movement.

This six-week program meets on Wednesdays at 8 am and costs $100 for six weeks. Reserve your spot today.

August 14: Women’s Strength Training
This is a progressive strength and conditioning program for women aged 50 and older who are going through menopause.

Train to build and maintain muscle mass, enhance bone density, improve cardiovascular health, manage weight, and boost flexibility and balance. There are two sessions each week you can attend. Wednesday at 6 pm and Saturdays at 11:00 am. Register for class.

August 12: Junior Pickleball Registration Opens

Santa Clarita kids ages 8-13 are invited to learn to play pickleball at the Paseo Club. The junior pickleball program begins on August 19th. Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 5 pm and are open to children from all levels of experience.

August 12: Happy Hour at the Club House

Grab a drink and some tasty snacks at Happy Hour at the Paseo Club. Every Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 pm, the clubhouse serves up affordable beer, wine, and well drinks. Check out our seasonal special, Blood Orange Margarita designed by Liela.

August 13: Taco Tuesday (Weekly)

This Tuesday, and every Tuesday, the cafe will serve up $2 tacos all night long! Choose from chicken, carne asada, or barbacoa tacos topped with freshly made salsa. No booking is required. 6 pm. 

August 13: Member Mixer - FREE!

Get ready for a fresh start as we usher in a new season with our much-awaited member mixer at the clubhouse! The member mixer begins at 6 pm and is a great way for new and more established members to meet and get to know each other. This event falls on Taco Tuesday, so come hungry for $2 tacos! Pair up your tacos with a margarita or skinny margarita, available for purchase at the bar. Register for the event, and you'll receive a complimentary drink ticket valid for wine, beer, or a soft drink.   

August 13 & 16: Bites & Brews - Bar on the Porch (Weekly)

The Paseo Club porch will serve up food from the grill and drinks every Tuesday and Friday. The Challenge Court will also be open. Brews and Bites is from 6 to 8 pm. All members are welcome, and no reservations are required.

August 14: Wine Down Wednesday (Weekly) - FREE!

Enjoy a full bar, lively music, small bites, and a welcoming atmosphere. WDW begins at 6 pm at the clubhouse, and the music starts at 6.30 pm. No reservations are required. Non-members are welcome to participate in Wine Down Wednesday, but the gym and the courts are for members only.

Come to the Paseo Club cafe or bar for pizza night on Thursdays! Pizzas are ready beginning at 4 pm and cost as little as $10 per pizza. Come to the club for swimming, pickleball, tennis, or your favorite workout, then stay for a family dinner! No reservations are needed.

August 16: Family Game Night - FREE!

You and your guests are invited to a fun-filled Family Games Night on Friday, from 6 to 8 pm. This event is FREE!

Bring the whole family for an evening of interactive and creative games! Move around different stations, sometimes working in teams and other times competing individually. We've adapted the games for all age groups, ensuring everyone has a great time! Register your family to play

August 16, 23: Dive In Movies - FREE!

As summer winds down, the Dive In Movie season is ending. Don't miss the last three movies! Come early to make a night of it, enjoy the pool, and have dinner at the cafe before the movie starts at 8 pm. 

You can bring your non-member family and friends for free without using a guest pass. Bring floaties for the pool and blankets and cushions for when the evening cools. Popcorn is free! Reservations are encouraged

Learn to teach Zumba class and Kids Zumba by taking this all-day course. The training is a mix of lecture, practice, and dancing — dress accordingly. The class is open to members and nonmembers and is from 9 am to 6 pm. At the end of your training, you will be certified to teach a regular Zumba class as well as a Zumba kids class — two certifications in one.

August 19: Tennis Junior Programming Begins

The Paseo Club’s tennis junior programs begin on August 19th. There are classes for children of all ages and levels.

  • Challengers: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-6 pm

August 23: Summer Pickleball League End-of-Season Party - FREE!

Celebrate the end of the pickleball summer leagues with a party! There will be an award ceremony for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams and everyone is welcome! Bring guests to enjoy an evening at the patio! One free drink tickets will be available. This event is free, begins at 6 pm,  and no reservations are required.

August 25: CPR/AED and First Aid Certification

Paseo Club is hosting a CPR/AED and First Aid certification course for members and nonmembers. Participants will learn basic life-saving techniques including, how to perform CPR, the basics of first aid, and how to manage automated external defibrillators. 

The certification is through The American Heart Association and is valid for two years. This class is available for all ages. The class costs $70 plus an additional $10 for the textbook. Contact Pulse Patrol to register

August 26: Fall Pickleball Leagues Registration

The Paseo Club has leagues for every player level, from Starter Graduates to the open level. There are leagues for women's, men's, and mixed doubles. The cost is $40 per league season which lasts seven weeks. Learn more about pickleball leagues and sign up to join a league here.

August 30: Karaoke Night - FREE!

Mark your calendars for Friday, August 30th, and get ready to shine at Karaoke Night! The fun kicks off at 7 pm on the Porch. Enjoy drink specials all night long. This is your last chance for karaoke until October 25th, so make it count! Whether you sing or just cheer on your friends, everyone is welcome. Bring friends – non-members are invited! There are no fees or registration needed.

August 31: Summer Nights in White

The wait is over! Don your most elegant white attire and join us for Summer Nights in White Party on Saturday from 6 to 10 pm. Enjoy entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, a welcome drink, dancing, a photo booth, and the company of great friends. 

Get your tickets early to avoid disappointment! Tickets for members are $55 and non-members are $65. Early bird pricing is available through July 31 for $50 and $60, respectively. Ticket sales are final, and the deadline for reservations is August 23rd. We can't wait to celebrate with you under the stars in style!

August 31: Knights and Princesses Date Night

While you celebrate at Summer Nights in White, your child can enjoy dinner, a movie, and fun with friends in the care of Kids Club staff. Nonmembers are also invited to register their children for Date Night. 

Kids Club is open to children 4-12 years old for date night. This event has a medieval/fairytale theme. Date Night is from 6 to 10 pm and costs $40 per child. Children must be potty-trained to attend. Please register ahead of time by contacting Kids Club.

September 1: Spa Special

Delight in the skillful hands of Haruko, Angie, and Tara at the spa at the Paseo Club. For the month of September, they are offering a massage and facial special. Savor the relaxation of a therapeutic massage and then revitalize your skin with a facial! The original price is $199 but is now discounted to only $180. This pricing lasts through September 30th. September 2: Labor Day Tennis Round Robin

The Paseo Club is hosting the annual tennis round robin in honor of Labor Day. Sign up with a partner, or we can help you find one. Stick around for our BBQ and DJ by the pool! Play will begin at 10 am, and the cost is $25 to play. Trophies and medals will be awarded to winners for serious bragging rights! Reserve your spot in the round robin.

September 2: Labor Day BBQ and Pool Party - FREE!

Get ready for a fantastic Labor Day celebration at the club on Monday from 12 to 3 pm. Enjoy a delicious spread of American favorites, including both a hotdog and a burger (beef, turkey or impossible) with all the scrumptious sides and trimmings. Gather your friends and family for an afternoon of fun, food, and fantastic company.

Dink 4 Cause works hard to support the nonprofits of Santa Clarita! Join them by participating in a pickleball tournament for SNAP Sports. SNAP Sports provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to engage in a variety of sports-based activities. 

The tournament will take place on Saturday, September 7th at the Paseo Club for men’s and women’s doubles 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+ (no mixed doubles). The entry costs $75, which includes a drink and fees. Sign up for the tournament.

September 7: US OPEN Tennis Round Robin

It is finals weekend at the US OPEN! Sign up for this tennis round robin with a partner and join us for fun by the pool afterward. Bring your drink tickets poolside for a BBQ with tasty food and additional drinks for purchase. $25 to participate. Reserve your spot to play!

September 13: Pinot and Pilates

September 14: Gabe's Juniors Skills Event

The workshop is strictly about skills! Kids will be divided into groups based on their age and ability groups. They will practice aiming for targets and sections on the court to score points.

Each court will have a different assignment. Your child will practice their forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. Get timed by the radar gun! This event was very successful last year, with 50 juniors attending! It is back this year due to the kids' and parents' requests! This event begins at 1 pm and costs $35. Reserve your child's place

We need your help to make a difference! Help save a life and donate blood at the Paseo Club! Join us at our next blood drive on Tuesday from 10 am to 4 pm.

September 20: Line and Wine - FREE!

Learn the most popular party line dances and a few country dances at this free event at the Paseo Club. Come dressed in comfortable clothing and shoes. No dance experience is needed and no booking is required. This event starts at 6 pm. 

September 20: Pokémon Date Night

The kids of the Paseo Club are invited to an evening of dinner, a movie, and fun with friends! For this special event, parents are welcome to go on a date night off the club premises while kids have a great night in the care of Kids Club staff. 

This Date Night is a Pokémon theme from 5 to 9 pm. The cost is $40 per child, and dinner is provided. Children must be 4-12 years old and potty-trained to attend. Register by September 18

September 21: The Paddle Tap Pickleball 

Come to this Minor League Pickleball event. It is an innovative team competition where teams of four players (two women and two men) compete against each other in an engaging format, with twists on traditional match-ups and scoring for games, matches, and tiebreakers. Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MLPlay™ format.

Nominate one player from your team to be the team captain and that player must sign in to the swish app. Players will use Franklin X balls on an outdoor court surface. Register with Swish Tournaments. It costs $45 to play. Doors open at 7 am and play begins at 8 am.

September 24: Menopause Makeover Workshop 

If you are a woman going through perimenopause or menopause and frustrated with hot flashes, low energy, low sex drive, and weight gain, this is the workshop for you. Learn natural remedies to combat these symptoms and learn what exercises are most effective. The workshop begins at 6 pm and costs $50. Reserve your spot today.

September 27: Chips & Salsa Night - FREE!

Are you ready to spice up your Friday night? Come and learn how to salsa dance! The lovely Jennifer Garson-Shuper will lead a class from 6 to 7 pm, and after the class, stay on for more dancing until 8 pm (or later)!

Enjoy margaritas and chips and salsa, which are available for purchase at the bar. No partner is necessary. Don’t miss out on this fun and energetic evening. See you on the dance floor! Reservations are recommended.

LA County Fire Pickleball is excited to announce their 2nd annual SUMMER SLAM tournament! And you guessed it — costumes are encouraged.

This event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Guardians SCV, an organization that provides camaraderie and support groups for military, law enforcement, and firefighters.

Grab your pickleball partner and sign up as a team because you cannot register as an individual. The cost is $50 per person and includes a drink ticket and a t-shirt. Check in begins at 7:30 am and play starts at 8 am. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners in each division
