Meet the Pickleball Instructors
Chris Null
Tennis, Pickleball Instructor
Chris had his first tennis lesson ever at the Paseo Club almost 15 years ago and has been involved as a member and coach since that time. He played four years at Valencia High School and coached six more for both girls' and boys' teams.
In early 2019 he picked up pickleball and hasn't been able to put it down. His favorite part of coaching is working with kids and helping them find the love for these sports that he found here.
Chris teaches both tennis and pickleball at Paseo Club, and is available for private pickleball instruction for $70 per hour.
Daniel Peterson-Beliakoff
Pickleball Manager, Personal Trainer
My name is Daniel Peterson-Beliakoff. I graduated from California State University-Northridge in psychology and philosophy. I am a former researcher at the David Geffen Medical School of UCLA, and I am a personal trainer here at the Paseo Club.
My academic interests include behavioral psychology, philosophy of mind, and the mind-body connection. After completing my undergraduate degrees, I further pursued my interests as a researcher for the Department of Psychiatry at David Geffen Medical School. There, I focused on drug development for a variety of medical and neurological illnesses, including Alzheimer’s disease. During my years of research, I witnessed the healing power of fitness on trauma and mental wellness, both firsthand and through my research. Because of this, I pursued a personal training certification specializing in trauma-informed strength training and mobility-flexibility training for tennis and pickleball.
The most important relationship any person has is the one between their body and their mind. It is the connection that allows for all our other relationships to exist. Through my work in the behavior science sector, in research, and in personal training,
I have helped clients from a wide range of backgrounds. What I have discovered is that mastering the relationship between our body and mind is incredibly difficult, let alone achieving health goals. Whether it be figuring out where to begin or knowing exactly what to do given out personal circumstance, the journey to health is not always straightforward and this where I come in. To assist beginners and lifelong health enthusiasts, I take a holistic approach to training by incorporating not only the body but also the mind in optimizing their relationship, leading to greater outcomes in the world and on the court.

KP Puvogel
USPTA Certified Tennis Instructor, Pickleball Instructor
Kenny Puvogel, better known as Coach KP, started at the Paseo Club as a tennis teaching professional in 2006 and is celebrating his 11th year teaching at the club.
He’s been teaching tennis for over 20 years, including taking a short venture to NYC in 2012 to teach at the prestigious Vanderbilt Tennis Club in Grand Central Terminal where he also served as Director of Fitness Programs and Personal Training. He also taught at the indoor courts at Sutton East Tennis and Yorkville Tennis Club; and at the Riverside Clay tennis courts.
He returned to Southern California and the Paseo Club in 2013 for a year before deciding to take another brief journey to teach tennis in the Atlanta area at the Manor Tennis Club, Polo Tennis Club, and Oz Tennis Academy.
Calling himself an ambassador of tennis, he loves working with all ages and believes his passion, energy, enthusiasm, and devotion to the sport transcends and inspires his students. He loves introducing the sport to beginners and teaches a high-energy, calorie burning, and fun-filled cardio tennis class. Additionally, he works with his clients to build a balance of tennis skills and fitness and strives for nothing but the highest quality program attainable while seeking to build lasting relationships with all of his students. He is a great motivator and is known affectionately to many as the “Pied Piper of Tennis.”
Before entering the tennis profession full time, Kenny spent over 25 years in the promotion, marketing, and sales fields of the music industry, 23 years with the legendary Warner Brothers Records family – the most successful, powerful, and prestigious label of the time – the last 10 years serving as Vice President of Rock Promotion.
With music being very popular among touring tennis pros, good fortune would bring Kenny together with former #1 world professional Jim Courier backstage at a R.E.M. concert in Atlanta in 1995. Through his ongoing relationship with Courier, Kenny has had the chance to spend time behind the scenes of professional tennis, meeting and learning from the pros, their coaches, and trainers and chatting with anyone who wants to talk tennis or music. While exchanging ideas on tennis and music, he absorbed everything the sport has to offer and has a wealth of priceless knowledge that he yearns to share.
Kenny’s tennis journey continued while he managed Sammy Hagar (Van Halen) and his travels took him to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico often where he began to teach part-time at the Adan Bries Tennis Academy and at local resort hotels. Looking for a new direction, he realized tennis was it and this is when he decided it was time for a change in pursuit of sharing his love of the game.
In 2000, he became a full-time tennis coach teaching independently in the Santa Clarita Valley. He has been the head coach at four of the six local high schools as well as directing the high school summer tennis program for College of the Canyons. With his West Ranch girls’ tennis team, he holds the distinction of having the first team of any sport at the school to make the CIF playoffs in school history.
Kenny believes the many people he met and continues to meet along the way give him a unique perspective on teaching tennis. He takes pride in his passion and considers himself to be what he calls a “tennis concierge” handling his clients’ every tennis need.

See what parents are saying about Junior Pickleball
"I signed my son up for the Junior Pickleball camp at the Paseo Club and he ended up loving it so much he begged me to sign him up for the rest of summer. The coaches, Tyler and Chris, are friendly and well-educated. They work great with the kids to ensure they learn to successfully play the sport while having fun at the same time. They mixed in fun-filled activities with water balloons and swimming and provide lunch for the kids. I would highly recommend the Junior Pickleball camp. As a parent, It’s nice to be able to send your kids to a camp where they are not only having a great time but also learning valuable skills. My son is already counting down the days until we sign him up next summer!"
