We all know that exercising is good for the body and mind. But whether you love cardio or lifting, it can be difficult to avoid soreness, injury, and boredom.

Are you looking for a new method of exercise that will help you be stronger, leaner, and more mobile?

Reformer Pilates is a method of exercise that is gentle on your joints but still helps you achieve your fitness goals. With personalized attention and small class size, you can get the results you want in the Pilates Body Makeover series at the Paseo Club.

The Paseo Club is a social club in Santa Clarita that has operated for almost 20 years. We offer group classes, tennis and pickleball courts, and a junior Olympic pool.

In this article, we will share information about our new Pilates program, Pilates Body Makeover. We will discuss what the sessions entail, the benefits, who can attend, and how you can reserve your spot in the program.

Pilates Body Makeover is a new six-week program offered at the Paseo Club. The class is taught twice per week on the Pilates reformer machines. It is a small group training class, so it is available to a limited number of members.

What is reformer Pilates?

A reformer is an apparatus or machine designed by the founder of Pilates, Joseph Pilates. The machine looks like a narrow bed and has an undercarriage of adjustable pulleys and springs to make the exercises more easy or challenging.

Reformer Pilates is similar to mat-based Pilates, but reformer Pilates is generally more intense and more dynamic. The springs in the reformer create added resistance to the Pilates exercises.

Pilates Body Makeover focuses on strengthening the core areas of the body. Your core includes:

  • Hips
  • Waist
  • Pelvis
  • Abdomen
  • Lower back

When your core is strong, you are more fit and less prone to injury in your workouts and day-to-day activities.

Pilates Body Makeover provides many benefits.

What are the benefits of small group training?

Small group training has been gaining popularity because it’s an affordable way for clients to take advantage of a trainer’s expertise at a lower financial investment — while keeping the fun and competitiveness of a group dynamic.

How does nutrition play a role in Pilates Body Makeover?

Nutrition is integral to feeling and looking your best. But eating healthy is not as complicated as it may seem. Eating clean is the best philosophy. That means sticking with foods that are minimally processed and full of nutrients.

At the end of each class, a Q&A period will be held, allowing members to ask more personalized questions regarding their health, and lifestyle, and address any concerns.

Who can attend Pilates Body Makeover?

The program is for all levels, even beginners.

Can PBM be scaled or modified for people with limitations or injuries?

YES!

Modifications can be provided to anyone.
