If so, come check out the Pickleball Classic hosted by the Paseo Club and organized by National Pickleball and Advanced Sports Media. This sanctioned event has games for people from 19 to 60+.
The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley that is a hub for all things pickleball. In addition to having courts for games and pickleball classes to learn the sport, the club also hosts tournaments.

What is the Pickleball Classic at the Paseo Club?
The Pickleball Classic is our annual tournament hosted by the Paseo Club and run by National Pickleball and Advanced Sports Media. It is a three-day event, offering men’s and women’s singles, and men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles.
What does it mean to have a sanctioned pickleball event?
A sanctioned pickleball event is an event that is recognized by governing bodies for pickleball. The results in the event are certified as correct, included in each player’s DUPR rating, and all medal contention matches are officiated by a certified pickleball official.
Who can play at the Pickleball Classic?
Each bracket of play is divided into age and level categories. There will be options for 19+, 40+, 50+, and 60+ at 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and even 5.0.
If not enough players or teams register in a specific category, two divisions may be placed together, i.e. 50+ and 60+ could be combined.
How do you register for the Pickleball Classic?
Registration for all events is open at the Pickleball Classic sign-up page. But registration closes on 4/14 — so register ASAP!
It costs $65 per event plus registration fees.
Can spectators attend the Pickleball Classic?
Spectators are welcome to attend! Not all courts are viewed easily, but there is seating available on the porch and in the pavilions to watch players compete.
The Cafe, Clubhouse, and Porch bar will be open, serving breakfast and lunch specials.
There are no large coolers allowed at the event.
Getting ready for the Pickleball Classic
The Pickleball Classic is a three-day event on April 21, 22, and 23. Play will begin at 7 am each day and will run all day long. In previous years, games have gone until the club closed at 8 pm.
The Paseo Club is a home away from home for our members. We offer over 60 fitness classes each week, tennis and pickleball courts, and a junior Olympic pool. There is also a cafe and onsite spa to enjoy.
