By Jen Azevedo

The Paseo Club is the community hub in the Santa Clarita Valley for all things healthy, fitness, and fun.

This February is no exception. This month is full of activities and special events for its members, and now is the time to learn about them and mark your calendars.

The Paseo Club has been supporting people in their journey in fitness for almost 20 years. Whether you love Zumba, Pilates, tennis, swimming, or HIIT, the club has something for people of all ages.

In this article, you will learn what events are happening at the Paseo Club, when the activities will happen, and how to sign up. For your convenience, all events are listed in the order in which they will occur.

Events at the Paseo Club February 2023

February 1 (8, 15, & 22): Wine Down Wednesday

Wine Down Wednesday is one of the most popular social events at the Paseo Club — for good reason. Live music or DJs set the festive ambiance. Members enjoy wine and rotating drink specials. WDW is held on the Clubhouse Bar and Patio from 6:30-9:30 pm every Wednesday.

No registration is necessary. This month’s live entertainment is:

  • 2/1 Phil & the Blank
  • 2/8 Mary Dyer Band
  • 2/15 DJ CNCIA
  • 2/22 Mary Dyer Band

February 3-5 Paseo Palooza

Members and friends, get ready for the best weekend of the year! Paseo Palooza is the Paseo Club’s annual open house. Check out the pop-up fitness classes, tennis and pickleball events, live music, food, and more! There is a line-up of kid’s activities, so you can bring the entire family!

Entry and classes are FREE. Have questions about Paseo Palooza? Contact membership. No registration is needed.

February 3 (10, 17, & 24): Open Bar Fridays

After an energetic game of tennis or pickleball, pull up a seat at the Paseo Porch Bar every Friday evening. Enjoy food from the grill, drinks, and watch the latest sporting event on the big screens. The fire pits will be lit so you can stay warm on cooler nights.

Open Bar Fridays begin at 5 pm and are open until the last call.

February 7 (14, 21, & 28): Taco Tuesdays

The Paseo Club chef creates tasty tacos every Tuesday night for you and your family. Each week there are three different types of tacos available, and the chef changes them up so you can always try something new.

Look for carne asada, chicken, pastor (pork), carnitas, pescado (fish), and shrimp. Tacos come topped with chopped onions and cilantro and served with lime wedges on the side.

Order your tacos at the Clubhouse Bar and Cafe. Tacos are $9-$12.

February 10: Date Night at Kids Club

Date Nights are one of Kids Club’s most exciting events for adults and children alike. On Friday, February 10th, the Kids Club will open for playtime and adventures from 5:30-9 pm for children ages 4-12. The movie this month will be Lady and the Tramp.

Date Night is $25 per child, which includes dinner, a goodie bag, and participation in planned activities.

Register by February 8th at the Kids Club or by emailing the Kids Club staff.

February 12: Valentine’s Play Date at Kids Club

On Sunday, February 12, from 2-5 pm, children join the Kids Club staff for snacks, themed crafts, playtime, and a screening of the beloved classic, Winnie the Pooh. This event is for members ages 3-5. They must be potty-trained to attend.

Play Date is $15 per child. Register by February 10th at the Kids Club or by emailing the Kids Club staff.

February 12: Super Bowl Sunday

Watch the Super Bowl on three big-screen TVs with your Paseo Club community. Come in earlier for a workout, fitness class, tennis, or pickleball, then settle down on the Paseo Porch Bar at 3:30 to cheer for your favorite team. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. No registration is necessary. Bring your friends!

February 13: Men’s Night Out

Lead floral designer, Joyce Gamboa, will guide attendees in making a medium-sized floral arrangement to take home to their loved one. While learning the art of arranging, participants are given one glass of hand-crafted whiskey, “London Fog” with a candied orange peel.

This event runs from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Clubhouse Bar & Patio. Please register with Tara Russell by February 10. The cost is $65 per person.
