December is here, and the Paseo Club has several exciting ways for you to join in holiday activities at the club. Both adults and kids have opportunities to play, celebrate, and socialize with others from the Santa Clarita Valley community.

You may wonder what special events Paseo is hosting this month and how you can get involved. We compiled all of the information you need in this article so that you have an organized resource that you can always refer to.

In this article, you will learn what events are happening at the club, when the activities will happen, and how to sign up. For your convenience, all events are listed in the order in which they will occur.

Events at the Paseo Club December 2022

December 4: Choo Choo & Cocoa with Santa

Come out and enjoy a wonderful winter evening with Santa! The club café will be serving up cookies and cocoa for the kiddos. After refreshments, kids can hop on to ride the eighteen-passenger trackless train.

The one and only Santa Claus — along with Mrs. Claus — will be here!

Bring your family and friends and savor this magical evening together at the Paseo Club.

Choo Choo and Cocoa with Santa is from 5 pm-8 pm. No reservations are necessary. There is a $15 entry fee for each child.

Dec 9-11: Grand Opening of the Porch

Our “backyard” Paseo Porch is finally complete and is ready for action! You and your family are invited to check out the new bar and grill the weekend of December 9-11.

On Friday night, from 6-9 pm, enjoy music, dancing, and drink specials from the new bar, while the grill will be fired up and cooking food. Try out the carne asada, chicken breast, fresh pico de gallo, rice and beans, and more.

Bring a wrapped gift worth no more than $25 to join our White Elephant gift exchange. The exchange will take place at 7:30.

On Saturday, the party continues with Champions Brunch on the Porch, served from 8 am-12 pm during drop-in pickleball.

Conclude the weekend with our Endless Mimosas Brunch on Sunday, starting at 10 am and going to 2 pm!

These are free member events, and no reservations are required.

December 9 & 16: Kids Club hosts Date Night

Date Nights are one of Kids Club’s most popular events! The Kids Club staff open up the play areas for a night full of fun. Meanwhile, parents get to leave the club for a night out on the town.

Date Nights are themed around the season, upcoming holidays, or featured movies chosen by staff. Kids enjoy dinner while watching a movie. Afterward they participate in themed games, crafts, coloring, and indoor/outdoor play.

Kids always leave with smiling faces and a goodie bag to take home. The parents are happy they have had a night to themselves.

Date Night is $25 per child which includes dinner, a goodie bag, and participation in planned activities. It runs from 5:30 - 9 pm and is for potty-trained children ages 4-12.

Parents can register in childcare or by emailing the Kids Club staff.

December 10: Merry Mixer

The LA County Fire Department is teaming up with Paseo Club for an afternoon of pickleball fun! Each team consists of one LAFD player and one Paseo Club player, rotating each round of play.

Meet new people at your level, enjoy festive drinks and food on the Porch, and celebrate the season!

The Merry Mixer is from 4-10 pm on Saturday. The cost is $50 per player and includes a t-shirt, drink voucher, and goodie bag.

If you want to sign your junior up to participate, contact Coach Gabe at 818-422-9115 for registration. The fee is $30 and players must show up at 11:45 for orientation.

December 11: Kids Club hosts Play Date

Play Dates is another monthly event Kids Club hosts for our littlest Paseo members.

Parents drop their child off for a playdate with friends at the Paseo Club while they run errands or enjoy a few hours of alone time.

Play Dates are themed around the season, upcoming holidays, or appropriate featured movies chosen by staff. Kids enjoy snacks, watch a movie, craft/make art, color, and participate in indoor and outdoor play.

Kids love being able to have an afternoon with their friends and share with their parents the art they made during the play date.

Play Date is $15 per child and includes snacks, a goodie bag, and participation in planned activities. Play Date runs from 2 - 5 pm and is for potty-trained children ages 3-5 years old.

Parents can register in childcare or by emailing the Kids Club staff.
