What is Date Night at the Paseo Club?

July 8th, 2024 | 2 min. read

By Jen Azevedo

When the Paseo Club was built, Kids Club was included because the founders knew how essential having childcare would be to its members. Kids Club has continued to be an integral part of the club. In fact, many kids that have come through Kids Club have later become adult members.

Kids Club has been open seven days a week for over twenty years. Babies as young as three months through three-year-olds are in the younger area, Kids Corner. Children ages four through twelve come to the big kids side, Kids Club.

The Kids Club staff knows the importance of a little “me time” for parents. That is why they offer a special monthly feature, Date Night.

In this article, you will learn what Date Night is, why Date Night is so great for parents and kids, the cost, and how to sign your kiddo up.

Date Night is the most anticipated event at Kids Club. Date Nights is the one time each month that Kids Club opens its doors in the evening for a special night of activities for kids. Parents drop off their children while they enjoy a date night out on the town.

Our staff handpicks themes and movies your children will love, along with tons of activities to keep them entertained. Popular activities include coloring, crafts, games, outdoor play, karaoke, scavenger hunts, and more. Every Date Night is different!

Children are treated to a dinner of their choice while they watch a movie. Kids then go home with a goodie bag, craft keepsakes, and even some prizes.

Date Nights are held one Friday each month from 5 – 9 pm. Here is the schedule for the next three Date Nights.

  • July 12 Under the Sea: Ocean-Themed
  • August 9 Knights and Princesses: Medieval-Themed
  • September 20 Pokemon: Pokemon Show-Themed

Why do parents love Date Night?

Parents work hard doing their jobs, attending to chores and errands, and caring for their children. They need opportunities to take a break and enjoy a peaceful night out with their spouse that will not break the bank.

Researchers discovered that adults who go on regular dates with their partners experience several benefits.

  • More sexual desire
  • Better communication
  • Increased marital satisfaction
  • Increased commitment to the marriage

When parents leave their children in the care of the Kids Club staff, they know their kids are taken care of by providers they know and trust. This puts the parents and the children at ease, helping there be seamless transitions at drop-off and pick-up.

Parents typically use Date Night to go out to dinner, attend Paseo Club events, or just enjoy some alone time to relax at home.

Kids love being in a familiar environment they know and love. Kids look forward to special activities they would not normally do in Kids Club, including watching a new movie together, playing games, and winning prizes. Kids are also excited to meet up with friends and spend time with them for the evening.

How do parents register for Date Night, and what is the cost?

Parents can register by emailing our childcare staff at kidscorner@thepaseoclub.com. Registration closes two days prior to the event. The cost for Date Night is $40, and it includes childcare, dinner, film, and activities.
