The Paseo Club in Santa Clarita is a private club. To attend the club, you must become a member, and that involves paying monthly dues in exchange for fitness classes, gym, tennis, pickleball, and swimming facilities, and multiple amenities.
But did you know that when you become a member of the Paseo Club, you receive not one, not two, but several FREE bonuses?
The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley that has supported members in health and fitness for over twenty years. We at the Paseo Club do not like to brag, but we are proud to say we offer some pretty great free services, and we want you to take advantage of these amazing opportunities.
Therefore, in this article, we will tell you what special comps you get when you become a member of the Paseo Club so you can be sure not to miss out!
Free Bonuses at the Paseo Club
The Paseo Club staff love to welcome new members with a “goody bag” of sorts — a collection of freebies to help them try new activities and meet new members and instructors.
Guest passes
When you become a member of the Paseo Club, you are automatically awarded five guest passes. These passes are for your cousin when they visit from Chicago, your friend who wants to meet you at the club for a tennis match, or any other person you want to enjoy the club with.
Starters tennis class
For those of you who are interested in learning tennis or wanting to pick the sport up after a hiatus, you can come to a free tennis starter class. Begin to learn the fundamentals of tennis while getting to know a pro instructor and other beginning players.
Starter pickleball class
If you want to keep up with the trends, you better start learning the game of pickleball. This sport started with the gray-haired crowd, but more and more 20, 30, and 40-year-olds are playing too. Try out a starter pickleball class — it is fun, quick to learn, and a great workout.
Starters Pilates class
Pilates is an incredible form of exercise that builds core strength, improves posture, and increases mobility and range of motion. This class is excellent for beginners and is a great benefit for anyone who wants to cross-train to get better at their sport of choice. This starter class uses Pilates reformers.
Initial Fitness Assessment
If you want to learn more about your fitness level, the free initial fitness assessment is a great opportunity for you.
Meet with one of the Paseo Club’s knowledgeable instructors for:
- A health and exercise history questionnaire
- Weigh-in, body fat percentage, and inches measurement
- Functional Movement Screen (FMS) comprised of four essential movements
The assessment will help you learn about your fitness level, endurance, body composition, and general health. You can also learn what exercises and fitness classes best support your health goals.
Wine Down Wednesday
We know the workweek can feel long. That is why one of the Paseo Club’s most popular social events is Wine Down Wednesday. Wine Down Wednesday is a social gathering for members to simply have fun. Enjoy wine, mixed drinks, and appetizers, DJ’ed or live music, dancing, and visiting with friends. WDW begins at 6 pm and is free to attend. This is an awesome event that brings a little happiness to your week.
Line and Wine
Fitness Director Cezanne Youmazzo loves to turn up the tunes and share her dance moves at the Paseo Club’s in-demand monthly pop-up class, Line and Wine. Luckily, you do not need experience to come dance. Just grab some comfy shoes and plan to have fun. Learn The Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble, country line dances, and more.
Food and drinks are available all night, so come early for happy hour from 4 to 6 pm. Dancing starts at 6 pm.
Open House Celebrations
The Paseo Club has a new season of specialty classes and events every seven weeks. Before a new season begins, the Paseo Club opens its doors to the entire Santa Clarita Valley — members and nonmembers — for an open house.
These gatherings are social events with food, drinks, music, and tours of the club and each of the departments. Attendees meet instructors, learn about new classes, and connect with other link-minded SCV locals.
Group Exercise Classes
The most exciting free offer members can access is the group fitness classes. The Paseo Club instructors teach over 60 unique classes each week. You can find classes focused on strength training, cardio, mobility, and combo classes that implement a variety of exercise methods.
For people who are new to fitness to those who are super experienced — everyone in between — there are free classes for you. Check out cycle, yoga, kickboxing, strictly strength, walking, Pilates, and so, so much more. There is no limit to the amount of classes that you can choose from!
All the Paseo Club instructors are certified and have years of teaching experience. Their classes are challenging, fun, and welcoming.
