Who is Paseo Club trainer Daniel Pacheco?
Daniel’s interest in fitness began when he was fourteen and initially introduced to mixed martial arts (MMA). He enjoyed learning the techniques of MMA but found the art of striking resonated with him even more. He realized boxing made him “feel more powerful than the other forms of fighting.”
He decided to shift his focus to traditional boxing. Daniel stepped into a boxing gym at the age of sixteen and never looked back. His passion for boxing soon grew so strong that it eclipsed all other interests.
After his second year in college, he decided to become a personal trainer, inspired to share his excitement for health and fitness with others. Daniel said, “I knew I could use my efforts to help others as I helped myself, so I decided to do just that.”

What are the 6 benefits of attending boxing basics class?
Boxing is one of the most effective methods for getting fit fast. It challenges you in many ways, making the class exciting and exhilarating.
The benefits of boxing training are vast.
1. Improved balance and coordination
Boxing requires nimble foot movements and regularly shifting your weight. The strikes require agility and coordination. Boxing also utilizes the core. Anytime you can strengthen your core muscles, you will improve your balance and equilibrium.
A fascinating study on “Boxing Therapy” and people with the neurodegenerative condition Parkinson’s found their risk of falling was significantly diminished when they attended boxing classes twice per week.
2. Burns calories — fast!
Being active is key to burning calories and maintaining a healthy weight. But boxing is a leader in efficiency. Boxing utilizes high-intensity interval training, cardio, and strength training, which helps you burn fat better and more quickly than any other workout. One boxing class can burn upwards of 600 calories.
3. Improved mental health
If you have ever had a frustrating day at work, you know that boxing is excellent for helping you feel better. Simply imagine your nemesis’s face on the punching bag, and you will soon feel all the stress melt away…
Research shows that boxing classes provide a significant reduction in symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and negative symptoms of schizophrenia and are considered a “cathartic release of anger and stress.” The athletic aspect of class releases dopamine, boosting your mood and well-being.
4. Boosts overall athleticism
When you train in boxing, it boosts your overall athleticism, which translates into improvement in functional fitness and additional sports. You will be stronger, more agile, have more endurance, and improved hand-eye coordination.
Boxing pairs great as a form of cross-training with tennis, pickleball, weight training, running, and Pilates.
5. Improved hand-eye coordination
The core of boxing is striking. Striking requires precision and accuracy. Whether you shadowbox or practice on a target, your mind and body will be alert. This degree of focus, in combination with practice, improves your hand-eye coordination.
Improved hand-eye coordination aids people who play tennis, pickleball, golf, hockey, and soccer.
6. Improved cardiovascular endurance
Boxing gives an amazing cardio workout! Participants will engage in agility exercises, jump rope, striking, and many other movements that get the heart pumping. Boxing is excellent for reducing your risks for cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other chronic conditions associated with heart disease.
