By Jen Azevedo

The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley. It has provided health and fitness services to members of all ages for over 20 years. The Paseo Club is a mainstay in the SCV community and is known as the place for tennis, pickleball, fitness, and social living.

We at the Paseo Club are committed to complete honesty and integrity, which is why you will never need to wonder what membership includes or how much it costs.

In this article, we will answer every question you may have about becoming a member of the Paseo Club and how much it costs.

IMG_1492-minWhat membership at the Paseo Club gives you

The Paseo Club has one membership model for complete access to the Paseo Club.

Gym equipment

Members are granted unlimited access to the Paseo Club’s gym facilities. The club is equipped with an amazing three-story fitness center and over 10,000 square feet of space to exercise. Enjoy the variety of gym equipment, such as free weights, resistance machines, and cardio equipment. You can target any and every muscle group you want to.

Located near our fitness facility is an outdoor space for heavy lifting and the Tribe Room for TRX (Total Resistance Exercise) equipment.

Membership gives you access to the executive locker rooms. So, if you’re coming in before work or stopping by after a day out, you will always have a safe place to store your belongings, change, shower, steam, sauna, and more.

IMG_1486-minGroupEx classes

Over 60 group exercise classes are offered each week to members at no additional cost. Fitness Director Cezanne Youmazzo makes these some of the most motivating and transformational group exercise classes in the valley — and you have unlimited access to any and all of them!

There are a wide range of options taught by seasoned instructors. Check out cycling, kickboxing, barre, cardio, weights, HIIT, and yoga, to name just a few.

Group exercise classes are a great way to challenge yourself while enjoying the camaraderie of sweating it out with other members.

Tennis Director René Heger runs a comprehensive tennis program for every level player. Sign up for drop-in play or join other members for drills or leagues. If you like some friendly competition, check out the seasonal tournaments.

Your youth or teen can learn the game of tennis as well! There are lessons for kids as young as three and up to 18.

Pickleball Department

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the US, and the Paseo Club is your headquarters for play. Led by Pickleball Director Tyler Shaffer, you can play with friends on one of our 11 courts, sign up for a drill or starter class, or play one of our fun tournaments. There are even pickleball leagues for those who want to compete.

IMG_1494-minJunior Olympic Pool

The Paseo Club has a gorgeous outdoor junior Olympic pool open year-round. You can bring your kids for recreational swim or drop in for lap swimming. Liquid cardio is a popular aqua aerobics class taught six times per week. If you want to join Masters Swim or your child needs swim lessons, these resources are also available.

Cafe and Bar

Just beside the pool is our cafe, where you can feast on a variety of different foods. From light snacks to heavy meals, the cafe menu has something for every member to enjoy.

Check out specialty nights such as Taco Tuesdays or Sunday Brunch. Keep your eyes open for the next awesome creation that will come out of the kitchen.

The Paseo Club also has a recently renovated bar for you to relax at. You can meet other members while sipping tasty mixed drinks, wines, or beers from our talented bartenders.

IMG_1514-minSocial Events and Fundraisers

The Paseo Club is an exciting and beautiful environment to have fun with old friends and meet new ones.

We have social events all the time, including some of the best parties in the Santa Clarita Valley — Halloween, the Hawaiian-themed Luau, and many more.

Wine Down Wednesday is a weekly perk to check out. Music, wine, and friends help to make your week more joyful. Families love summer’s Dive-in Movie Nights where kids (and adults!) can enjoy a family-friendly flick while playing in the pool and dining on something tasty from the cafe.

The Paseo Club regularly teams up with local charities and fundraisers to support those in the SCV community who are in need. Look for pickleball or tennis tournaments, pop-up classes, and Red Cross blood drives.

Specialty Programs and Services at the Paseo Club

Pilates Studio

The Paseo Club has a specialty Pilates program with several Pilates classes for members of all levels. Check out Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Pilates with Props, or one of the other studio options. Pilates is great as a fitness plan on its own, or use it to cross-train with weights, tennis, cycle, or any of your other favorite workouts.

comp_massage-1Full-Service Spa

After pushing it hard on the courts or in an exercise class, we know you need a little TLC. Meet with one of the massage therapists or our aesthetician for Swedish massage, facials, or a myriad of other delicious spa treatments. These services are also available to nonmembers.

Kids Club Childcare

For many of our members, getting to exercise is based on whether childcare is available or not. That is why we offer safe, nurturing care at Kids Club. Kids club staff are experienced with babies, toddlers, and older kids and provide them a fun place to be while you get some "me time."

The Paseo Club serves all members of your family. Kids can check out the rotating roster of classes, such as martial arts and kids fitness. Our youth tennis program is the most comprehensive in the valley and is great for kids who want to learn the sport, teens who are high-level competitors, and everyone in between.

Summer and winter camps give your children a fun and active place to be. They play games, swim, and learn tennis.

Teens 14 and older can join any adult class, giving them the same access as their parents.

Small Group and Private Training

Sometimes you want more personalized attention and customized programming. Check out our small group programs, or hire a personal trainer to help you actualize your fitness goals.

Specialty monthly or Pop-Up classes

If you are excited about a little novelty in your life, then try one of our specialty monthly or pop-up classes. Pinot and Pilates is a popular choice. Zumba on the Courts, DJ Cycle, and step class are also great options.

tennis-1Tennis and Pickleball Drills and Private Lessons

For those who are learning the sport for the first time or for advanced players looking to finesse their technique, there are tennis and pickleball drills (classes) and private lessons available to you. Our pro instructors are accomplished players and coaches and can help you with a range of skills.
