New Class for the Platinum Schedule!
FUNCTIONAL FITNESS
Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:00am
Trish-Monday
April-Wednesday
This type of training will prepare your body for real life movements and activities. Movements such as reaching, pulling, rotating, and lifting will be made easier with Functional Fitness integrated into your fitness program.
This new class is specifically meant to be a great companion for athletic strength building. Perfect for you if you play tennis, pickleball and even for you to gain strength in your hips and core for running.
This type of training will improve the overall ‘function’ of your body, boosting muscle strength and endurance. You will develop stability in your muscles, allowing you to complete everyday activities more efficiently.
This will be a small group training format, that will give you extra attention toward form and technique. You will be challenged to work your full body using a variety of training methods. We want to keep every workout new and creative so that you look forward to each training and your body will continue to grow in strength, endurance and continued mobility benefits.
You may have heard of the ‘use it or lose it’ phrase. It basically means that if you don’t continue to practice or USE an ability, you might LOSE that ability. In the terms of fitness; if a person doesn’t exercise his or her physical body, he or she will lose strength, endurance or mobility. You could also lose the stamina that you have built up in all these areas if you back off your training schedule. Our bodies take much time and lots of effort to build up our fitness levels, but slacking off just a week or two can sure make what you have built up slip away. Our bodies are stronger if we keep our workout routines our high priority. You will continue to add to your fitness level, while keeping your body strong and ready for any activity, sport or everyday life movement.
FUNCTIONAL FITNESS added into your weekly workout routine will be just what your body needs to build a strong foundation so you can achieve a greater return while playing sports, aid you with a body that can manage everyday life and movements, along with enhancing your mobility to improve your joint and muscle health. Mobility being such a key to improving movement quality and preventing injuries throughout life.
Come and give it a try! I bet your body will thank you!
