August 21st, 2023 | 4 min. read

By Jen Azevedo

If you are a member of the Paseo Club, you have likely heard about the small group training programs. We offer several small group options with a variety of exercise styles.

But you may wonder what the difference is between small group training and group classes the club offers. What are the benefits? What types of small group training programs are there? And most importantly, is it really worth the cost?

The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley that has supported the community in meeting their fitness goals for twenty years.

In this article, you will learn everything you need to know about all the small group training programs at the Paseo Club — what they are, the benefits, when they are, and the costs.

What are small group training programs?

Small group training is specialty exercise classes at the Paseo Club. These classes are innovative, challenging, and fun. They are led by skilled instructors with many years of experience so that you are getting the best in fitness training.

Small group classes are small, meaning the number of students is limited to between eight and ten people. This allows each member to get personalized attention during class, and help you learn proper technique and form. Also, if you have any injury or limited range of mobility, the instructor can scale or modify movements according to your ability.

What are the benefits of small group training?

Attending small group training programs has several benefits.

  • Faster results happen when you attend small group training. Instructors know how to encourage you to reach new levels of fitness. They also design classes to maximize your progress.
  • Accountability increases when you work out in a small group. Fellow attendees become friends and team members, each of you supporting the other in meeting fitness goals. This inspires program adherence so you never miss a class.
  • Nutritional support is an essential part of learning how to be healthy. Greatest Results and Pilates Body Makeover offer guidance and advice about how to eat well.

  • New methods in fitness training are offered through small group training as premiere options. New methods are often more effective, more efficient, and fun.
  • Camaraderie with other members grows in small group training. Working hard together, cheering each other on, and reaching PRs (personal records) helps create group cohesion and bonding.

Is small group training worth it?

Small Group training offers you the opportunity to train with the guidance and expertise of a qualified instructor in smaller class sizes.

Unlike exercising on your own or in large groups, small group training programs allow for personal attention to ensure you are moving accurately, safely, and at the right degree of challenge for you. This attention to detail helps you to get the most out of your classes, getting you the results you are looking for.

If you want to learn a new fitness method, need help modifying movements, are super excited to train with others, or want your instructor to tell you ten more reps NOW!, then Small group training is definitely worth it.

The Paseo Club offers over 60 group exercise classes, several small group training programs, and personal trainers for one-on-one custom workouts. There are 21 tennis and pickleball courts with drills, leagues, and junior programs.
