Exercising can be fun and invigorating. But exercising consistently, week after week, can be pure drudgery.
Maintaining an ongoing workout routine can be a real struggle. Between work, kids, travel, and getting sick, there are dozens of reasons that you can’t make it to the gym, the class, or the courts.
Researchers found that being accountable to others or a program immensely helps you exercise regularly — which is why the Paseo Club hosted the 100-Day Workout Challenge from January 1 to June 30, 2024.
The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley that has served the community for over twenty years. They offer fitness, tennis, pickleball, and swimming class facilities.
In this article, you will learn about the benefits of workout challenges, what is the 100-Day Workout Challenge, testimonials from participants, and when the next 100-Day Challenge is so you can join in!
Why join a workout challenge?
The Mayo Clinic states that exercising improves physical, emotional, mental, and cognitive health.
But we all know exercising every week can be tough. A workout challenge is one way to have an ongoing program that helps you to stay committed. There are several benefits of participating in a workout challenge.
- Creates a routine
- Increases motivation
- Increases accountability
- Increases physical fitness
- Enhances social connections
- Gain support and encouragement
Fitness challenges are also fun — and enjoyment is one of the most essential factors in sticking to a fitness program.

What are Paseo Club members’ experiences of the 100-Day Workout Challenge?
Here is what two members say about participating in the 100-Day Workout Challenge.
“In January, a Paseo member suggested I consider the Paseo 100-Day Workout Challenge as the next step in my fitness journey. In 2023, I had heart surgery and was looking for a program that would focus on my overall health and well-being. From fitness and stamina to strength training to dietary and nutritional conditioning, my goal was to change my life physically and emotionally. I wanted to elevate my health beyond what tennis alone was providing. Little did I know that I would develop friendships and respect for the others participating in the challenge, and the instructors too. Each and every day they motivate me to become better and push a little harder. The Paseo Club’s 100-Day Challenge has changed my life. I am fortunate to have Jen, Cezanne, Justin, Jason, and the members of my challenge classes in my life. Thank you Paseo, and thank you Paseo 100-Day Workout Challenge.”

“Even though I'm not typically one to post selfies, participating in the Paseo 100-Day Workout Challenge was a fun way to track my workouts and celebrate milestones. I loved the camaraderie, special 100-Day workouts, and watching others' progress. Now, I get to proudly wear my ‘Earned, Not Given’ tank top.”
