The Santa Clarita Valley has a wonderful selection of summer evening events from comedy to music, cultural events to karaoke. Instead of staying at home, see what your local community offers.
The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley. We offer fitness facilities, social events, a cafe, and a spa. When our members and staff aren’t busy working out or visiting with friends, they love to spend time exploring the SCV community.
It can be difficult to find out what is happening throughout the summer. But we know you do not want to spend hours researching, so we have gathered all the information in one place. Learn where to catch a concert or a comedy show, grab a drink, see a play, and more!

The Santa Clarita Valley has a wide range of evening entertainment choices for you to enjoy throughout the summer.
Music
Concerts in the Park
Concerts in the Park is an incredible annual series hosted by the city of Santa Clarita. Every Saturday night at 7 pm, July 8-August 28, there are live outdoor concerts in Central Park. The concerts are for all ages and are completely FREE.

July 8 — Hard Day’s Night: A Tribute to The Beatles
July 15 — Wild Shot: A Tribute to Guns N’ Roses
July 22 — Upstream: Reggae, Soca, Caribbean
July 29 — 90s Rock Show: 90s Grunge, Alt-rock, Pop-punk
August 5 — Savor: A Tribute to Santana
August 12 — Twist on Taylor: A Tribute to Taylor Swift
August 19 — Queen Nation: A Tribute to Queen
August 26 — FABBA: A Tribute to ABBA
Olive Terrace Bar and Grill
Olive Terrace Bar and Grill offers tasty, fresh Mediterranean plates. They offer music throughout the summer, including Jon Pinto, David Lemasters, and Jedi and Winslow Dynasty.
Paseo Club
Paseo Club hosts a weekly music and wine event called Wine Down Wednesday. DJs or live bands play hits while members enjoy glasses of wine or cocktails from the bar. This is a great evening activity to break up your week’s monotony. Wine Down Wednesday begins at 6:30 pm.
Smokehouse on Main
Smokehouse on Main is a barbecue joint serving up traditional southern fare. If you like listening to music while munching ribs, this is your place. Their events page keeps you up-to-date about all performances.
Every Sunday from 2-5 pm is a pro jam. The band Funslingers plays Tuesday nights from 6:30-9:30 pm. Karaoke is Wednesday nights from 7-10 pm.

Salt Creek Grille
Salt Creek Grille hosts live music at the bar on Friday and Saturday nights from 8-11 pm. Order a delicious plate of mesquite-grilled meats and a bottle of wine to share and enjoy a great night at Salt Creek.
Wine 661
Wine 661 is a wine bar and restaurant with live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Check out their social media or get on their email list to see what shows are coming up.
Drinks
Brewery Draconum
Brewery Draconum is a brewery and restaurant in Old Town Newhall. They provide an “elevated” pub-style menu, a beer garden with games, and 20 beers on tap. Live music is available on occasion. Check with the staff to learn about the summer lineup.
Maginn’s Pub
Maginn’s Pub in Newhall is an authentic Irish pub that serves up Irish favorites such as fish and chips and beef and Guinness stew. They are known for their Irish beers on tap, including Guinness, Kilkenny, Harp, and Smithwicks. They also have a variety of bottled beers, craft cocktails, and select wines.
Newhall Press Room
Newhall Press Room is a bistro and wine bar with great indoor and outdoor seating. Their wine list is extensive with literally dozens of choices from affordable to some of the best award-winning options. They also have a small but nicely designed beer and cocktail menu.
Newhall Refinery
Newhall Refinery has been open for ten years. They make great food using sustainably-sourced ingredients. They have a custom craft beer and wine menu, and their cocktails are delicious.
Pocock Brewing
Pocock Brewing is another great beer spot in the SCV. Their menu is divided by beer types, so you can find your favorite based on if you want light, sour, hoppy, fruity, or malty beer.
Theater
Canyon Theatre Guild
Canyon Theatre Guild has provided the Santa Clarita Valley with performances for 50 years. Enjoy comedies, classics, and musicals at the guild. Performances tend to run for about a month before a new play shows. Canyon Theatre Guild is a great venue to see local talent!
The Main
The Main hosts comedy, theater, music performances, and fine art shows. This is a great place for art enthusiasts of all ages. Check out their schedule to learn about the different events.
Comedy
J.R.’s Comedy Club
J.R.'s Comedy Club is the place in the SCV for comedy. Go for their fun dinner and show night combo and be prepared to laugh your head off. Pricing is very reasonable at $20-25 per show. J.R.'s is also a place to host your FUNdraiser for your charity or nonprofit organization.
Karaoke
Drifter’s Bar and Grill
Drifter’s Bar and Grill has been in operation since 1959. They offer karaoke Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting at 7 pm.
Mabel’s Roadhouse
Mabel’s Roadhouse is a dive bar with character. They have a DJ playing tunes most evenings, and Karaoke Night is on Thursdays from 9 pm-1:30 am.
Smokehouse on Main
Smokehouse on Main offers Karaoke Night on Wednesdays from 7-10 pm with host Rich Reid. Enjoy food and drinks and a night belting out your favorite hits.
Trivia Night
The Local Pub and Grill
The Local Pub and Grill in Valencia hosts Taco Trivia Tuesday at 7 pm weekly. Order some shrimp, carnitas, or other tasty tacos and enjoy a fun night out on the town.
Lucky Luke Brewing Company
Lucky Luke Brewing Company is a local brewery with many delicious beers on tap. Monday nights at 7 pm are trivia nights with King Trivia. It is free to play, and there are prizes for the winners.
Pocock Brewing
Pocock Brewing hosts trivia night every Wednesday from 7-9 pm. Grab a beer, order a pizza (they are awesome!), and try your hand at some friendly trivia competition.
Schooners Patio and Grille
Schooners Patio Grille is a Santa Clarita pillar. They have been around for 30 years offering great food and cold beers. Bring your friends and attend trivia night every Thursday at 7 pm.
Community and Cultural Events
Celebrate
Celebrate is a monthly cultural event held at the Canyon Country Community Center. Learn about cultures around the world through food, performances, crafts, and activities. This is a great all-ages community event. It goes from 6-9 pm.

SENSES Block Party
SENSES Block Party is on Main Street in old town Newhall, the third Thursday of the month, from March through October. There is live music and dancing, great food at the food trucks, a street bar for adult beverages, and themed activities.
Come with friends or family, or make it a date night with your sweetie. The block party runs from 7-10 pm.

The Santa Clarita Valley is a wonderful place that has the amenities of the big city, with the close-knit community feel of smaller towns.
