Best 6 corporate event venues in the Santa Clarita Valley

March 4th, 2024 | 5 min. read

By Jen Azevedo

Businesses are discovering over and over again that some of their most productive team-building sessions, meetings, and brainstorming gatherings are happening out of the office.

These experiences are helping employees to feel more connected to their colleagues and supervisors, a greater sense of loyalty to the company, and an increase in satisfaction.

Forbes pointed out that happy employees make for more productive employees. “A happy team is likelier to be more energized, more creative, and get more work done.”

Finding the right environment for your next corporate event is not easy. There are a lot of choices and dozens of details to consider.

The Paseo Club hosts large and small corporate events throughout the year to help support the local SCV business community. But we are not the only ones in the area offering venue spaces.

In this article, you will learn what events your company can organize, what amenities you might need, and where the best corporate venues are in the Santa Clarita Valley.

pexels-fauxels-3182781What types of events do companies need to organize?

Everyone is stimulated by new activities, environments, and ways of working and relating. There are an array of reasons you may need to host a corporate event.

  • Health fair
  • Conference
  • Fundraising
  • Team building
  • Wellness challenges
  • Employment drive/career fair
  • Off-site meeting (1-hour to full-day strategic brainstorming)
  • Seasonal parties (end-of-year parties, holiday parties, etc.)

What does a company need to look for in an event venue?

When you assess where to host your next corporate event, learn about several features before committing to a venue.

Location

Location is normally the first thing to be considered — especially if employees need to return to the office during the day. If the event space is close to the regular place of work, it will be easy for employees to get there. But if people travel from outside the area, the venue should be accessible to airports, local hotels, and restaurants.

Capacity

Calculate how many people will attend this corporate event and ensure your venue of choice has the space to hold that amount of attendees. Remember to factor in breakout areas or places to have lunch.

Layout

Depending on the event, you may need a theater, boardroom, cabaret, or banquet style of seating. Review your event space to see if they can accommodate your needs.

This is simple, but do confirm the venue is available for the dates of your event. During certain times of year — winter holidays especially — venues do fill up.

Amenities

You want your event to be dazzling. Consider what types of amenities you want to provide your staff.

Does the event space offer…

  • Wifi?
  • Catering?
  • Free parking?
  • AV equipment?
  • Conference phones?
  • A staffed check-in area?

Some corporations like to combine work with fun, such as playing pickleball or attending yoga classes. In these cases, amenities of spas, gyms, and shower facilities are particularly desirable.

Decor

Tour the venue to see if it lines up with your corporate image. Inquire to learn if the space can have relevant branding and decor for your special event.

On-site support

When you plan an event, it is ideal to have a coordinator who can assist you. Event coordinators can help you with:

  • Decor
  • Media
  • Catering
  • Activities
  • Party themes
  • Overseeing support staff
  • Contracting with off-site purveyors

Budget

The cost of event venues varies wildly. Learn if your favorite venue is affordable and works with your corporate budget. Learn their cancellation terms in case there is a last-minute change in plans.
