As the Aquatics Director at The Paseo Club, Nick oversees the swim lesson program along with the children’s swim team. Nick’s passion for swimming began when he joined his community swim team at age 5 where he swam every summer until age 16. He swam 4 years for Hart High School where he set the junior varsity league records in the 50 Fly, the 200 Free relay, and the 200 Medley relay. He was the varsity team captain and competed at CIF his senior year. Although his pursuit of competitive swimming ended after high school, he committed to helping others in their swimming abilities by coaching 2 summer swim teams for a total of 4 years and by teaching swim lessons for the past 8 years. Nick is certified in Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguarding for the Professional Rescuer, CPR, First Aid, and AED. He also received his Bachelors Degree in Finance from California State University Northridge. His aspiration for swim lessons is to make swimming available for people of all ages and all skills. Whether it be a 4-year-old child just learning to swim, a competitive teenager trying to perfect his or her technique, or an adult that wants swimming to be their form of exercise, all are welcome! His desire for the Club’s swim team is to have children be part of a team that is extremely fun, yet competitive.
