Management

Mark was born in Boston, MA. He moved to California in 2001. He holds a Masters in Philosophy and worked on a second Masters in History at Harvard University. Mark has dabbled in many different things. He owned a road construction company for 18 years. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2005 and was a chef at Jonathan Club and Buca Di Beppo.  Mark oversees every department and everyday operations at the club.  He was integral in building the new Fitness & Spa Building, Club House and Bar where our members now experience added value and increased social activities at our club.  He continues to build the Paseo Club into an elite and classy place for our members to enjoy.

Ali runs the Bar & Grill, Private Events and Catering departments.  She holds a culinary arts degree from Le Cordon Bleu and is a certified wedding planner.  She was born and raised in the Santa Clarita Valley and has worked locally as a pastry chef and event coordinator.  Her love for food, wine and special events will make her excellent in helping you prepare for your next social event at the club!

Armando was born in In Ahuisculco, Jalisco, Mexico. He came to the United States in 1987. He has had many jobs from working with the elderly to working for a cleaning company to working at LAX. Armando has finally found his home with us here at The Paseo Club. He has been with us since September of 2004. He is in charge of all the maintenance at the club including the pool, landscaping, keeping The Club clean and organized, setting up for events, and ordering supplies.

Carol has worked in accounting and bookkeeping since 1993. She is an Arabian Horse owner and used to be a tennis player. She is interesting in bringing fairness and balance to all memberships at The Paseo Club.

Cindy is NCEP-CPT, ISSA-CPT, TITLEIST GOLF FITNESS, and TRX Ceritifed.  Cindy has been in the Santa Clarita Valley for 23 years. She graduated from Fresno State University with a degree in Psychology. Her hobbies are bike riding and golfing. Cindy has been a trainer for 5 years. She specializes in golf fitness, women’s health, and women’s fitness.

Desi's goal as Director of Tennis is to make tennis available to any member who wishes to play. He wants each and every member to feel comfortable and welcome! He makes sure that we provide the finest instructional programs and tennis activities possible so that everyone can enjoy this great game of tennis. If you need any help in getting involved in any aspect of the tennis programs Desi is the one to contact! He will be more than happy to set you up in the tennis department. Desi has been involved in the tennis business for 15 years now, as a teaching professional, Vice President of a tennis and health club management company, owner and General Manager, and now in his passion, Director of Tennis here at The Paseo Club. Before working in the tennis business, Desi was one of the top players in Southern California. He played Division I tennis at Temple University in Philadelphia. Graduating in 1985, Desi, returned home to southern California and began teaching at The Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center, while still competing throughout southern cal in professional tournaments. He was ranked as high as 3 in Southern California in the Mens Open Division, and was ranked among the top 10 for years. Along with playing at every level, Desi has coached all players from the very beginner to the touring professional. He has represented the USTA and southern California sections at many junior events and has coached juniors ranked as high as number 1 nationally and professionals in the top 100 in the world.

Melanie is ACE-GROUP EX, SCHWINN, LES MILLS, BODYPUMP, and JOHNNY G Certified. Melanie has been in the fitness industry for 29 years and has been the Director of Group Fitness at various gyms over the past 10 years. She has filled the fitness center with a variety of exciting, challenging and newest classes for every level!  Take a new class and let Melanie know how you like it!  She's always happy to get feedback!

Rachél Frank was born in South Africa and moved to the USA in 2001. She has 15 years of experience as an executive assistant and client relations manager for a variety of industries including commercial real estate, investment management, publishing, insurance, and the Air Force. She's been working at The Paseo Club since April 2008. She is our frontdesk supervisor.
