Dance

Our Dance Program includes UNLIMITED classes for every member of the family for just $100 per month (Individual rates available as well)!  Classes range from age 4 to adult! Classes include Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Latin, Dance Company, Cheerleading/Tumbling, and Musical Theater. Classes offered Monday-Saturday. Come join us for fun and highly instructed dance technique classes. There is performance opportunity for all dance and cheer classes. Instructor, Melissa White, has over 36 years of dance training and over 20 years of teaching a variety of dance arts. Contact her for a free introductory class.

Dance Instructor

Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Performing Arts. She was an NFL cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints for 8 years and was a dance performer with the Baton Rouge Opera and Louisiana Ballet Company. Melissa has over 36 years of dance experience and over 20 years of teaching a variety of dance arts. She owned and operated a dance studio for 16 years.  Melissa is responsible for all of the dance programs at The Paseo Club.  She teaches dance classes and runs the Award Winning Dance Company.  For additional information about dance programs, contact Melissa directly.

Mondays
Beginner Ballet and Tap: 3:30-4:30 p.m. – new fitness room
Junior Dance Company: 4:30-5:30 p.m. – new fitness room
Beginner – Intermediate Tap: 5:45-6:15 p.m. – front studio
Senior Company Small Groups: 6:15-8:00 p.m. – front studio

Tuesdays
Beginner – Intermediate Hip Hop: 5:00-6:00 p.m. – front studio
Intermediate – Advanced Jazz/Lyrical: 6:00-7:00 p.m. – front studio
Senior Dance Company: 7:00-8:30 p.m. – front studio

Wednesdays
Adult Ballet/Meditation: 4:15-5:30 p.m. – new fitness room
Cheerleading/Tumbling: 4:30-5:45 p.m. – front studio
Intermediate Hip Hop: 5:45-6:45 p.m. – front studio
Intermediate Ballet: 6:45-7:45 p.m. – new fitness room

Thursdays
Intermediate – Advanced Ballet/Pointe: 5:30-6:30 p.m. – front studio
Intermediate – Jazz/Lyrical: 6:30-7:30 p.m. – front studio
Intermediate – Advanced Tap: 7:30-8:15 p.m. – front studio

Saturdays
Beginner – Intermediate Ballet: 12:15-1:15 p.m. – new fitness room
Dance Companies: 1:15-3:30 p.m.- new fitness room

Recommended Attire for Dance Classes:

Leotard – black, pink (preferred), unitards, (sleeve length of your choice) fitted dance tops.
Dance Pants – full length, capri Length, dance shorts, tights underneath preferred.
Ballet – Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, ballet sweaters, skirts, pants, and leg warmers permitted if needed.
Jazz – Black jazz shoes.
Tap – Black jazz tap shoes for 8 years and older.  Standard tap shoes for younger students secured with elastic bows!
Hip Hop – Dance Sneakers, jazz shoes, or tennis shoes permitted.
Lyrical – lyrical sandals or jazz shoes permitted.
Cheerleading – comfortable clothing, leotard, top, shorts and tennis shoes.
Hair – should be pulled back away from face, preferably in bun.
