What age do my children need to be supervised at the club?
Children under the age of eight (8) must be directly supervised by an adult. Member parents or guardians of minors are directly responsible for the actions of their minor children and guests’ children.
In the event of violations of The Paseo Club Rules or policies by minors, restrictions may be imposed on offending family’s use of The Paseo Club facilities.
Can my child play on the tennis courts alone?
Minors under the age of eight (8) must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Minors over the age of eight (8) may play tennis unsupervised, provided they have familiarized themselves and abide by the rules and etiquette of tennis as outlined in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) handbook, titled “Friend at Court”.
Can my child use the Fitness Center and equipment?
Minors under the age of fourteen (14) years are not allowed to use any weight equipment, unless directly supervised by one of The Paseo Club Fitness Staff. Minors under the age of fourteen (14) may not use the cardio machines unless accompanied by an adult, or completing an orientation and being approved by Fitness Staff. Minors 14-17 years of age
are permitted to use the fitness rooms, after they have had their orientation by The Paseo Club Staff.
Can my child swim at the pool unsupervised?
Minors (under the age of eight (8) years of age) must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All minors may be asked to take a swim test so that their swimming level can be determined. If it is determined by the lifeguard that the minor’s swim level is unacceptable, then an adult must accompany the minor into the pool or be restricted to the shallow end of the pool.
What is proper child conduct at the club?
Children are to conduct themselves in a manner which will not interfere with other members’ or their guests’ enjoyment of The Paseo Club. Obnoxious or abusive language and rude or boisterous behavior is prohibited.
