The Paseo Club prides itself on its tennis professionals for a lot of reasons, and the United States Tennis Professionals Association, the largest tennis professionals association in the country notices also!

Bjorn Farrugia, our Head Tennis Professional, has been named District Pro of the Year by the USPTA!  This honor is well deserved!  Bjorn spends countless hours on the court teaching our members to enjoy and improve their games.  He also organizes many events for our members to enhance their playing experiences and help them enjoy the game more.  On behalf of all of us at The Paseo Club, congratulations to Bjorn for his dedication, hard work, and endless energy in helping our members enjoy their tennis experiences more!

Dina McBride won the singles title at the Babolat World Championships in late January over a very tough field in the Ladies 40′s.  The tournament was held in Palm Desert and included most of the top senior tennis players in the world.  This was Dina’s first senior tournament and her first singles tournament in almost 2 years.  The Paseo Club boasts an excellent staff and our tennis professionals continue to excel in teaching, playing and helping our members get the most enjoyment possible out of their tennis experiences!  Congratulations Dina!

The Paseo Club has launched a program to get rid of all the old tennis balls that aren’t needed anymore and have them recycled.  Heidi Young, a very loyal member has taken the lead role in setting up trash containers marked specifically for used tennis balls to be placed in them.  We will send them to a company that recycles them.  So far, we have recycled over 1800 balls and because of your help, The Club is looking much better.  We appreciate your continued support in placing your used tennis balls in the marked containers throughout the tennis courts and on the Terrace.  Thank you for your continued efforts in making The Paseo Club look beautiful all the time!

For all tennis events at The Paseo Club, we are sending electronic invitations to any members who would like to receive them.  The emails give event details and allow you to RSVP in the email, and even shows you who else has signed up so far.

If you would like to receive these invitations and aren’t currently getting them, please send your email address to Desi McBride and he will add you to the invitation list.  We have two lists, one for adults and one for children’s tennis events, so please let us know which list you would like to be placed on.

Please note that each event will send 4 invitation emails, so if you will or will not be attending, please click the RSVP tab and you won’t get further invitations to that event.

We hope you enjoy this service and it makes it easier for you to get involved in the many tennis events we offer throughout the year.
