I’m thrilled to be a member of The Paseo Club.  I’ve met so many wonderful, quality people here on and off the courts – tennis being my activity of choice.

A little background on myself: When I’m not helping my wife on the TV show GLEE, I make my living as a full time musician; more specifically as a bassist, vocalist, songwriter, arranger and music editor.  I have toured and recorded with Richard Marx, Kenny Loggins, Loggins and Messina and many others over the years.  I also do many hi profile local events such as celebrity weddings and Birthday Parties such as Oprah Winfrey’s 50th and Charlie Sheen’s wedding (hmmm, maybe I should leave that part out.)

When I’m not playing tennis at the Paseo Club I am touring with Christopher Cross (who has a new album – we’ll be touring the world this summer and fall to promote it), Jimmy Messina and Jack Mack and the Heart Attack (for which I am also currently recording a new album) as well as four other local bands, one of which, “Doc Huckabuck” also performs at Salt Creek a couple times a month. Amazing band.  Check the calendar and come on by.

As mentioned, I also help my lovely and talented wife, Christine Day with the music end of things writing, producing, arranging and recording music for TV and currently I am creating music transcriptions (charts) for the on-camera musicians she is responsible for casting for shows such as Glee, Modern Family, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Raising Hope, Traffic Light and others.  I also help Christine with on-set coaching and supervising the musicians when Christine has other shows or the music is particularly difficult.

For those of you that know my wife, you may or may not know that Christine is also an amazing singer and you can catch us performing together at the Salt Creek Grille some sundays out on the Patio late afternoon.  It really is a great band and you should stop by some time for some great food and music.  Some of the wonderful Paseo Club instructors and members we have become friends with have come by so you are likely to see a few familiar faces.

But the most fun I have is at The Paseo Club when I can find time to get over there and get out on the courts. We both look forward to meeting many more of you at The Paseo Club.

Kieran and Stacey have two daughters (Kylie 2-1/2 years old and Isla 5 months old) and love to come to the Paseo Club whenever they get a chance.  Kieran is a member of the Paseo Tri-be triathlon team and races several events a year.  This year’s big event is going to be the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon in June.  Yep, swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco in the cold ocean water, and then an 18 mile bike ride through the hills of San Franciso and then an 8 mile run, which includes a 400 sand stair climb.  Yikes!

Stacey is looking forward to training more as the girls get bigger and competing in mountain bike triathlons.

Kieran is the President of the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund, a local non-profit charity which supports those battling cancer with financial assistance.  The 10th annual Fight It! 5K race is being held at Central Park on Saturday, May 14th.  This year a 10k option was added!  Join our team and race (or walk) for a great cause: http://tinyurl.com/6f4zbnf
