Betsy joins the Paseo Club with a background in both marketing and tennis. She spent the last ten years in the shopping center and real estate industry as a director of marketing with experience in events and promotions, branding, public relations, and creative ad campaigns. Betsy worked with shopping center management and development companies including Westfield, General Growth Properties, CB Richard Ellis and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Betsy grew up in San Diego and was ranked in the top five in Southern California in juniors, top 20 nationally, and won two silver balls in the junior nationals. At Torrey Pines High School, she won the individual C.I.F singles in her sophomore year and was inducted into the San Diego Sports Hall of Fame. Betsy attended the University of Arizona on a tennis scholarship, and graduated with a degree in Communications. She was ranked in the top 40 in the NCAA singles individual ranking, while her team reached as high as five in the country.
After college she traveled throughout the world competing on the WTA satellite professional circuit, earning world rankings in both singles and doubles. Betsy has taught tennis at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe and at the West Palm Beach Polo Club in in Florida. In 2002 through 2008, Betsy served as director for North County Tennis Patrons, a grassroots non-profit in San Diego that organized USTA satellite tournaments, once a month for children ranging from ages 8-18 years old.
She and her husband live in Valencia.
